Tyler, The Creator is easily one of the world’s most popular rappers today, but that doesn’t mean he hasn’t had his fair share of controversy. In fact, his earlier days were so controversial that he has been prohibited from entering multiple countries, including Australia (kind of?) and the UK.
But now, his ban from the latter has apparently been extinguished. Over the weekend, Tyler posted on social media saying “LONDON; IGOR; 3PM. WILL UPDATE YOU LATER WITH LOCATION.”

Apparently, Tyler was going to stage a surprise pop-up performance of some new tracks from his latest album IGOR, which dropped on Friday. However, according to Consequence Of Sound, it didn’t go ahead due to overcrowding. Duh.
In 2015, Tyler was hit with a ban from the UK for three to five years from the Home Office, with the reason being some of his offensive and questionable lyrics from his very early albums like Bastard and Goblin. But The Guardian reports that “the ban, which was originally imposed for three to five years, no longer applies and he is able to enter the UK legally.”
Tyler has also been “banned” in Australia for a few years now, despite promoters saying otherwise, with his most recent Australian show being all the way back in 2013. He was scheduled for a 2015 tour, but cancelled due to intense scrutiny from critics.
He hasn’t tried to tour since, and it is still unclear when and if he ever will again.
