“Unacceptable” Soundwave Clashes To Be Fixed With Revised Timetables

Soundwave 2014 ticket holders displeased with the festival’s recently revealed set times have made their voices heard, with promoter and organiser AJ Maddah announcing that revised timetables for Sydney and Brisbane are set to be released tomorrow night, alongside the remaining set times for Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth which were due for release yesterday.

Timetables for Brisbane and Sydney were released early Thursday morning and, as expected, a number of punters expressed their frustration at clashes, some of which have been deemed “unacceptable” by Maddah.

As well as addressing some of these complaints, the revised set times will also attempt to fix some unexpected logistical problems including requests from bands to move their slots and props which are too large for allotted stages.

Since announcing the revisions, Maddah has been responding to questions from inquisitive fans via his Twitter account. So far, it appears that:

As a bonus, Maddah has also suggested that maps for all venues will also be released on Sunday. As it stands, the new set times will be released at 7pm tomorrow night.

UPDATE 4:52pm AEDT 16/02/14: AJ Maddah has announced via Twitter that “absolutely final” timetables will be released tomorrow afternoon (Monday, 17th February). “Sorry about the delay,” added the promoter. “Trying to resolve all reasonable clashed [sic].”

Maddah stated that maps would also be released tomorrow. Meanwhile, the official SW Twitter account has confirmed Maddah’s news, writing, “A message from the promoter: Final timetables will go up tomorrow afternoon. Sorry about the delay. Trying to resolve all reasonable clashes.”
