UPDATE: UNIFY Gathering 2019 Lineup Announced
ORIGINAL STORY: Victoria’s UNIFY Gathering heavy music festival has revealed it will host “two exclusive reunions” as part of its much-hyped 2019 lineup, which is scheduled to be announced later this week.
In a statement, UNIFY organisers have told Wall Of Sound, “There will be two exclusive reunions at UNIFY Gathering 2019.”
It isn’t clear if the two reunions will involve local or international bands, but in a statement to Music Feeds, UNIFY organisers said they have “six international artists coming out to Australia to only play UNIFY and no other shows”.
Yesterday, UNIFY confirmed Trophy Eyes as the first act on its 2019 lineup, but declined to comment on some sneaky teasers posted by Melbourne outfit Ocean Grove.
UNIFY organisers teased another act over the weekend, after dropping a bunch of other teasers last week.
The 2019 UNIFY lineup is scheduled to be announced on Thursday, 9th August, but organisers have previously confirmed that a number of the acts listed on an “obviously fake” lineup poster are actually on the real lineup.
Last month, UNIFY organisers gave punters a first look at the festival’s new location, which will host the event over three days in January 2019.
