2024 will be a landmark year for Aussie Botch fans. The Washington mathcore/hardcore/metal legends are coming down under for the very first time, announcing their debut Australian tour for May of this year.
The band, who formed in 1993 and recently reunited for the first time since 2002, will be making their way to five cities around the country, popping the cherry with two shows at Melbourne’s Max Watts on Friday, 17th and Saturday, 18th May, before hitting Adelaide’s The Gov on Sunday, 19th May, Perth’s Rosemount Hotel on Tuesday, 21st May, Brisbane’s The Triffid on Thursday, 23rd May and wrapping up with two Sydney shows at Manning Bar on Friday, 24th and Saturday, 25th May.
Botch – ‘One Twenty Two’
The tour comes after Botch reunited in 2022 after a two-decade hiatus, setting the metal world ablaze once more with their comeback single ‘One Twenty Two’ (stream above).
“We don’t want to half-ass it…we want to be fucking tight as we ever were, if not tighter,” Botch guitarist David Knudson said in a press statement. “We don’t want to disappoint a fan that’s never seen us live. So you know, it’s all in or nothing.”
