V Festival 2012 UK Line-up Announced

Reformed Manchester rockers The Stone Roses will headline the UK’s V Festival in August.

Fresh from being locked in for a headlining spot at Scotland’s T In The Park Festival last week,  Richard Branson and his Virgin honchos have secured the band for one of the UK’s biggest festivals, which will be held across Hylands Park in Chelmsford and Weston Park in Staffordshire on August 18 and 19.

Sharing headlining duties are Las Vegas’ favourite sons The Killers – in what appears to be their first dates in support of their fourth studio album, which is due later this year.  Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds and Snow Patrol are the other major drawcards for the event.

Other acts on the line-up include Nicki Minaj, David Guetta, Tinie Tempah, Ed Sheeran, Example, Tom Jones, Keane, Madness, James Morrison, Nero, Emeli Sande, Friendly Fires, The Happy Mondays, Professor Green, Olly Murs and Noah & The Whale.
