Many-membered Brisbane band Velociraptor have shared a fresh new single called Dollarmite, and have announced new shows in Fremantle and Adelaide to go along with their upcoming performances in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne.
With new single Dollarmite (below) in their back pockets — and yes, it’s a reference to the Commonwealth Bank’s “Dollarmites” kids banking scheme — Velociraptor will kick things off with a performance in Brisbane this Friday, 3rd July.
The band’s series of July shows will come to a head when they support London outfit Gengahr at their two free Splendour In The Grass sideshows at the end of the month.
Dollarmite sees Velociraptor team up with engineer/mixer Cameron Smith once again, because, as the band say, “Sometimes you need to reunite the past to save the future.”
Velociraptor’s self-titled debut album was released last year, and Dollarmite is set to be released Friday, 3rd July. Catch the track in full, below, alongside the band’s upcoming tour dates.
