This Video Of Vanilla Ice Rapping About ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’ Shows He Never Left The ’90s

As an exercise that’s surely only been done to satisfy his own nostalgia, Vanilla Ice has rapped about ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’ in front of a room of people and surrounded by said Turtles.

For inexplicable reasons someone allowed Vanilla Ice armed with a mic to burst into Madison Square Garden rapping, “Go Ninja, Go Nina, GO.”

It wasn’t a random Vanilla Ice attack though. It was all done at the premiere of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows movie, the sequel to Michael Bay’s 2014 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

Vanilla actually performed the Ninja Turtles rap back in 1991 during the movie Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2. That was just a year after his breakthrough, and only, hit Ice Ice Baby. It might surprise you to know that he’s actually been releasing music pretty consistently since then. His last album was 2011’s excellently titled W.T.F. (Wisdom, Tenacity and Focus).

The below video will probably confuse you a lot but if you grew up in the ’90s you’ll at least be singing along in your head.
