Voting for triple j’s Hottest 100 of 2023 Opens Next Week

Triple j has announced that the Hottest 100 of 2023 will go to air on Saturday, 27th January 2024. Voting for this year’s poll opens at 8am on Tuesday, 12th December via the triple j website. The ABC’s youth music station has also announced it’ll be broadcasting the Hottest 200 of 2023 (i.e. songs 200-101) on Sunday, 28th January.

The following weekend, triple j’s sibling station Double J will turn back the clock to count down the Hottest 100 of 2003. That’s happening on Saturday, 3rd February. Spoiler alert: recent ARIA Hall of Fame inductees Jet topped that year’s countdown with ‘Are You Gonna Be My Girl’, pipping Outkast’s ‘Hey Ya!’ (#2) and The White Stripes’ ‘Seven Nation Army’ (#3).

Original flipping Paul Kelly’s ‘Dumb Things’ with help from Kelly and Dan Sultan.

Flume’s ‘Say Nothing’ featuring MAY-A topped the Hottest 100 of 2022, ahead of Eliza Rose & Interplanetary Criminal’s B.O.T.A. (#2), Spacey Jane’s ‘Hardlight’ (#3), Steve Lacy’s ‘Bad Habit’ (#4) and Lizzo’s ‘About Damn Time’ (#7).
