Progressive metal and pop rock band Voyager have rescheduled their 2024 Fearless In Love tour, shifting the dates from February to June and July. The band’s lead singer Danny Estrin was recently diagnosed with cancer but is set to make a return after undergoing treatment. All existing tickets will remain valid and ticket-holders can expect to hear from the relevant ticketing outlet about how to request a refund.
“We’ve made the very difficult but completely necessary decision to reschedule our forthcoming album tour dates to allow Danny more time to continue his treatment and focus on his recovery,” the band said in a statement. “We are so very hopeful that we can make a triumphant return across our homeland in June and July, and that you’ll join us for these shows.”
Voyager- ‘Promise’
Estrin went public with the cancer diagnosis in September, telling the band’s audience that he’d been diagnosed with “a form of cancer that requires immediate treatment.” Voyager were forced to cancel their European tour as a result. “This has been an extremely hard decision to make, but one that everyone will hopefully understand,” Estrin said.
The forthcoming Australian tour is in support of Voyager’s latest album, Fearless in Love, released in July, following their 2020 album, Ghost Mile. Before the album’s release, Voyager represented Australia in the Eurovision Song Contest in Liverpool, UK, where they finished in ninth place.
