Crowbar have announced a run of shows to celebrate the venue’s birthday, running across late November into early December 2024. The run will kick off with a performance from WAAX, who played their final shows as a band in June 2023 before being revived as a solo project four months later by frontwoman Maz DeVita. It will be the project’s first Australian show since DeVita relocated to Los Angeles.
“We can’t think of a better, or more fitting way, to kick off our 12th birthday than with WAAX,” the venue shared in a statement. “Maz unapologetically infuses her Italian passion with Aussie grit, performing in all her power after a renewed creative awakening. We are ready to be served the[ir] raw, thunderous punk sound.”
