Brisbane songstress WAFIA is kicking off what will no doubt be a massive year for her by announcing that she’s heading out on a national tour in March.
The Heartburn singer will perform five dates in Toowoomba, Brisbane, Perth, Melbourne and Sydney in support of her stunning EP XXIX which was released late last year through Future Classic.
This will be WAFIA’s first national headline show. She spent late 2015/early 2016 performing with Ta-Ku as part of his live show. At Beyond The Valley and Field Day they performed Heartburn together which is apt given that Ta-Ku produced the song. Late last year they also treated New York’s MoMA PS1 to a special performance which was captured and can be seen in all its beauty below.
WAFIA is set to perform alongside Sampa The Great at Future Classic’s sold-out Sunday soirée at Sydney’s MCA. It will no doubt be a special taste of what’s to come for the budding singer/songwriter in 2016.
Tickets to the XXIX tour are on sale now and you can check out all the details below.
