The Mississippi rockers behind that song Kryptonite, 3 Doors Down, are still a thing, and they’ve taken it upon themselves to use their superhuman might for good, by kicking a fan out of a show for pushing a woman.
As CNN reports, 3 Doors Down frontman Brad Arnold called out a male concertgoer in Broomfield, Colorado on Tuesday, after he reportedly pushed a woman out of his way near the front of stage.
Arnold stopped the show after seeing the male fan muscle his way through, and had some choice words for him.
“Hang on, hang on, hang on. Hey, hey homie. You don’t hit a woman,” Arnold can be heard saying in footage of the incident, which is available to view below.
“You just pushed a woman out of the way to get in a fight, you dick! Get him the hell out of here. Somebody better come and kick his ass. Fuck you, man. You don’t hit a woman, dude.”
Security removed the man, the crowd cheered in celebration, and the show continued as planned.
After the band’s set, guitarist Chris Henderson said it was “insulting” when people fight at shows, explaining that the man who was reprimanded by security was trying to fight another individual, and the woman was in the middle of them.
“I’m really happy [Brad] did that because no one got hurt, thank God, and we have seen that,” Henderson said. “I thought it was chivalry at its best. That’s the kind of guy he is.
“He’s got the biggest heart you could imagine. He apologized, not for what he did, but how he said it.
“After the show he was like, ‘Man do you guys think I did the right thing?’ and we were like ‘Yeah!'” Henderson said, adding that the band didn’t think Arnold’s swearing was inappropriate.
“You can’t be afraid to stand up for what you believe.”
