Watch: A Day To Remember – ‘Violence (Enough Is Enough)’

A Day to Remember have come out swinging with their new single Violence (Enough Is Enough) – saying that it was inspired by thoughts about “why people do terrible things to each other”.

Frontman Jeremy McKinnon told Revolver about the track, which you can watch the video for at the bottom of this page.

McKinnon said he deliberately wanted the song “to have this dark, ominous feeling”.

“I was just trying to talk about different perspectives from the world and why people do terrible things to each other,” he said.

“It started out, to me, feeling like you’re helpless. It felt like everything is so much bigger than you — there are people above you no matter where you go. That kind of control of what you can and can’t do.

“It’s really not meant to be political as it might sound — that’s just never been our band. But it’s that feeling that things are out of your hands.”

A Day to Remember are currently finishing off their new album, which is tentatively titled Common Courtesy. The band have announced a string of North American dates from late March to early May – so maybe that’s an indication of the album’s potential release date.
