Prior to kicking off her big triple j Unearthed showcase at this year’s BIGSOUND festival, Alex The Astronaut has stopped by JHQ to deliver her very first Like A Version.
After busting out her heartfelt new single ‘Not Worth Hiding’ on the J-waves, the Sydney singer-songwriter took the opportunity to tip her helmet to one of her musical heroes, Aussie legend Paul Kelly, by delivering a bare-bones rendition of his 2010 ballad ‘If I Could Start Today Again’.
It’s been met with a resounding thumbs-up from punters online. No bells or whistles, just one girl, one guitar and one great song.
Give both performances a watch below, and check out Alex’s freshly-announced string of national tour dates off the back of her forthcoming See You Soon EP.
