Amy Shark just pulled off one of the boldest moves of 2017, putting her own take on Lorde’s pop anthem ‘Green Light’.
Shark is currently touring New Zealand, and dropped into NZ radio station The Edge to perform an acoustic cover of the track, a move that Amy admitted via Twitter was “a big fkn risk.”

The stripped back cover somehow both pays perfect tribute to Lorde’s original version whilst also oozing with Shark’s own style of raw musicality.
Shark has already kicked off 2017 with a massive Australian tour, carrying the momentum over from her breakout year last year care of the #2 song in triple j‘s Hottest 100 ‘Adore’.
Her debut EP Night Thinker is due out in under a week’s time, on Friday, 21st April.
