Colombian-American singer-songwriter and Kevin Parker’s mate, Kali Uchis, has hit the triple j studios to cover a 1993 Björk song for the station’s Like A Version covers segment.
Uchis, who was just in town for FOMO Festival (and played a sideshow in Sydney last week), recreated ‘Venus As A Boy’ from Björk’s first solo album Debut, blending it with some smooth RnB percussion, but staying true to the original’s delicate melodies.
While in the triple j studios, Uchis also put a new spin on her track ‘Just A Stranger’, from her 2018 album Isolation.
