Watch Blur Knock It Out Of The Park On US Television

Fresh from releasing The Magic Whip, their first new album in 12 years, Blur stopped by The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon this week for their first US TV appearance in as many years. They knocked it out of the park.

Blur took to the stage to perform the joyous Magic Whip cut Ong Ong. As Rolling Stone point out, although Jimmy Fallon announced Blur’s performance as their first US television appearance in 15 years, the band actually played a couple of late night shows in 2003, 12 years ago.

However, this was Blur’s first US television appearance with guitarist Graham Coxon in 15 years. So let’s just agree to call it long-overdue. Watch the joyous and energetic performance below, for a bit of a Splendour preview, and a cheeky Albarn “woo hoo”.

The Brit-pop legends will also play a handful of arena-sized headlining sideshows when they return to Australia this July, alongside fellow countryman Jamie T. Check those dates, and all the other announced Splendour Sideshows on our Splendour In The Grass 2015 Sideshows Feed!

The Magic Whip is out now.
