Watch Brendon Urie Crash Halsey’s Coachella Set For A Panic! At The Disco Cover

Halsey was one of a huge number of artists to grace Coachella over the weekend, and one of the absolute highlights of her set was when Panic! At The Disco‘s Brendon Urie joined her on stage.

The two sung a harmonised duet of Halsey’s own track New Americana before launching into a cover of Panic’s I Write Sins Not Tragedies from their seminal 2005 album A Fever You Can’t Sweat Out, and to say it was received well by fans would be a colossal understatement.

Halsey prefaced the song by declaring that Panic! At The Disco was one of the biggest influences on her career; “When I was a kid, there was one band, one band that changed my fucking life. The reason I am a musician today, and a band that will always be in my heart,” she said.

Then she introduced Urie and the crowd absolutely lost it, before joining in and singing along to their Panic cover in full-voice, as the two sung what appeared to be a fairly spontaneous yet insanely energetic rendition of the track.

Panic’s twitter account responded to the performance;

With the first weekend of Coachella still ongoing here, there has already been an impressive highlights reel including Ice Cube reuniting N.W.A, Lorde making a cameo with Disclosure, Angus Young getting up with Guns N’ Roses and a surprise appearance by Kesha.
