Watch Chance The Rapper Send Off Obama With A Special Christmas Rap On ‘SNL’

Soon-to-be-former POTUS Barack Obama is a known favourite of musicians all over the USA, and now Chance The Rapper has joined the cast of Saturday Night Live to perform a Christmas-themed tribute to the outgoing President.

On the final Saturday Night Live for 2016, Chance performed a rap called Jingle Barack (parodying Run-DMC‘s track Christmas In Hollis), championing many of Obama-supported initiatives including gay marriage, legalising marijuana and Obamacare.

Regular SNL cast member Keenan Thompson and Chance take on the main rhyming duties, busting out a series of raps aimed directed at President-elect Donald Trump including, “Enjoy the presents while you can, ’cause next year you might get a bomb from Iran.”

The skit even featured a cameo from DMC himself as Chance’s Dad, who says the lines, “Never trust a dude wearing no red hat,” and “Drinking egg not like I don’t care, I’m a hurt myself before we lose Obamacare.”

While on the show, Chance also performed Finish Line/Drown with Noname and Same Drugs, accompanied by Francis and the Lights, from his 2016 album Colouring Book.
