CHVRCHES are the latest musical guest to grace the stage on US late night television show, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. The band performed their single ‘Good Girls’.
The Scottish trio released their fourth studio album Screen Violence just last Friday, 27th February. ‘Good Girls’ is the third and final single the band released before putting the album out.
Their performance on The Tonight Show heralds a new era for the band. Known for their striking synthpop, the band have paired their penchant for the genre with a darker, newly-explored aesthetic that they’ve put front and centre in the aesthetics of this live take.
In the video, singer Lauren Mayberry is decked out in a floor-length, satin prom dress. The band perform the single atop what appears to be a cliff face, with the city lights in the background. The band are washed in a red light for the duration of the performance.
