This digital age is amazing. No longer do you have actually have to go anywhere anymore because you can just vicariously enjoy shit sitting at home in your tracky dacks & eating your pot noodle.
Case in point: Coachella. Bugger paying a couple of Gs to hang around stooges all day, getting crushed in the crowd, and desperately trying to understand the banter of the frontman from 100m away, just get yourself a device and an internet connection – actually screw that too, just hang out at Maccas – because the kind megalomaniacs at YouTube are giving everyone the chance to watch a stream of the second weekend of the Most Amazing Festival to grace mankind.
What’s more, the ‘Tube is trialling 360-degree vision of a few shows, which means you get to not only watch the band, but check the punters, too.
This time around there’s only one channel, but still some pretty exciting performances in store from the likes of Splendour In The Grass act The Kills, plus Guns N’ Roses (although they’re scheduled as ‘TBD’), Ice Cube, and a cameo-packed performance by Run the Jewels.
So, put your esky at your feet and your pot noodle in your lap and soak it all in.
