Footage has emerged of Slipknot and Stone Sour frontman Corey Taylor singing hit songs by Prince and Judas Priest at the first inaugural ‘Strange ’80s’ benefit concert in Los Angeles.
Taylor and Anthrax guitarist Scott Ian performed covers of Prince’s ‘Let’s Go Crazy’ and ‘1999’. Taylor also covered Judas Priest’s ‘Electric Eye’ with members of Velvet Revolver and 5 Headed Cobra, and you can watch all three performances below.
The concert, hosted by actor Finn Wolfhard of Stranger Things, also featured performances by Wolfhard himself — who covered songs by Guns N’ Roses and New Order — as well as appearances by the likes of Weird Al Yankovic, Sarah Silverman and Tenacious D.
All proceeds from the show went to the Sweet Relief Musicians Fund, which helps provide financial assistance to career musicians and music industry workers in need.
