Prophets Of Rage have pulled a rabbit out of their hat during their recent gig in Toronto, Canada. And by rabbit, we mean Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl.
The nicest guy in rock launched a surprise assault on Prophets Of Rage fans by suddenly appearing on stage in the middle of the rap-rock megasquad’s set, essentially turning the supergroup into a super-duper group.
Grohl crashed the encore to join Rage Against the Machine‘s Tom Morello, Brad Wilk & Tim Cummerford, Public Enemy’s Chuck D, and Cypress Hill’s B-Real for a blistering jam on the MC5 classic Kick Out The Jams, running point on both vocal and guitar and somehow injecting even more lunatic rock n’ roll energy than usual.
Prophets Of Rage are currently in the midst of their Make America Rage Again tour, after recently announcing the imminent release of their debut EP, The Party’s Over.
They’ve also teased an upcoming world tour, and though we don’t have any whispers of Australian dates yet, Bluesfest promoter Peter Noble has expressed keenness to get the band on the bill for the 2017 event.
Catch footage of the epic moment below (Grohl shows up around the 2:00:03 mark in the Facebook video).
