After wrapping up a massive Aussie regional tour in honour of their 2024 single ‘Quick To Judge’, Perth/Boorloo indie-rock act DICE have made their massive triple j Like A Version debut, tackling Gloria Gaynor’s 80’s dancefloor anthem ‘I Will Survive’.
After delivering a live rendition of their original track ‘This is Not a Love Song’, the four-piece ripped into punked up version of the classic, taking it from the disco to the moshpit.

“We really wanted to do something you could dance to,” DICE singer Ben Hodge told triple j.
“Something that was a bit more poppy and upbeat and we wanted to really put our own kind of rock’n’roll twist on it, because I feel like that was really kind of something that’s really energetic and something that we could make everyone move to.”

Meanwhile, the band also used the opportunity on national radio to announce the imminent arrival of their debut album, Midnight Zoo, on Friday, 9th August 2024.
The band describes the LP as a “genre-bending journey from dancefloor to dawn”.
“We find our love for music through its authenticity,” DICE explained in a press statement. “There’s a certain beauty to creating music because it is a culmination of your own emotions, experiences and personality. Midnight Zoo is a window into what our lives have been like and the memories we’ve made during producing the record.”
You can pre-order the album right now, here.
