Almost as though a wormhole straight to the late ’90s opened up, Disturbed frontman David Draiman has joined Breaking Benjamin on stage to provide vocals for a cover of Pantera’s cult hit Walk.
On paper this could have gone either way, BUT the result is a performance which would have earned devil horns from Dimebag Darrell himself. The spectacle took place during Disturbed’s recent show in Dallas, Texas. Breaking Benjamin have been handling the main support duties for the band’s current tour, which has been oozing ’90s goodness ever since it kicked off.
In the past, Draiman has spoken in glowing terms of his departed friend and Pantera guitarist Dimebag Darrell, describing the guitar god as “this character who was very easy to love”, which makes the performance all the more touching.
The proverbial wave of ’90s nostalgia that is this tour will continue to make its way across North America, with plans to engulf around 20 cities. Of course, us Aussies won’t get to bask in its glory, being the distant afterthought we usually are. But you can tip your toes with the below, video.
