Doja Cat and SZA teamed up to perform their huge collab ‘Kiss Me More’ for the first time at this year’s Billboard Music Awards ceremony.
The duo delivered a vividly colourful, high-energy live rendition, flanked by a slew of backup dancers wearing orange orbs over their heads. Doja also walked away a winner on the night, receiving the award for ‘Top R&B Female Artist’.
‘Kiss Me More’ originally dropped last month, the lead single from Doja’s forthcoming album Planet Her, which is set to arrive later this year. The same month, it was revealed that the next single to be lifted from the album, ‘You Right’, will feature the Weeknd.
Early this year, Doja suggested a star-studded list of collaborators may be part of her Planet Her project, saying on Twitter that there was “a reason” she was following the eight people she was on the site at the time.
In addition to SZA and the Weeknd, that list also included Megan Thee Stallion, Saweetie, Ariana Grande, A$AP Ferg, French Montana and Young Thug. Of course, Doja has already collaborated with both Saweetie on ‘Best Friend’, as well as appearing on a remix of Grande’s ’34+35′ that also featured Megan the Stallion.
