These things happen. You’re at work, doing a field report about the disorderly conduct arrest of Transformers actor Shia LaBeouf, when neo-soul icon Erykah Badu begins to disrupt your broadcast by flashing, making a lewd gesture, and then attempting to kiss you live on air.
As readers can see below, the singer, who was recently in Australia for Byron Bay Bluesfest and a series of sideshows, attempted to kiss her way into a news broadcast by local New York station PIX 11. Badu made herself a rather amusing nuisance during a segment by PIX reporter Mario Diaz.
Though Badu initially denied that it was her who bombed Diaz’s broadcast, she later admitted to her shenanigans and tweeted an apology to Diaz, who informed the singer that both his wife and daughter were nearby during the incident and promised, “Next time I won’t do the NYC push back.”
