Watch Father John Misty Debut New Song On US Tour

Currently on tour with Jason Isbell in the US, Father John Misty has been using the run of shows to test out some more new material.

The last time we heard Father John Misty roll out unreleased material was in December last year during an LA performance, but there hasn’t been anything ~official~ from him since 2017’s Pure Comedy. Still, these little nuggets of new sounds are proving enough to keep fans going.

Originally reported by Stereogum, Father John Misty (aka Josh Tillman) rolled out another new track on the San Diego stop of his tour over the weekend. In his usual sarcastic way, the musician prefaced the new tune by saying, “Here’s one you might know…” before launching into the untitled track, which has some cool Leonard Cohen-esque vibes to it.

The video, which you can check out below, indicates the new song has a working title of ‘Time Makes Fools Of Us All’, but there’s been no word on whether or not this one is in the pipeline for official release yet. In the meantime, have a suss of what Father John Misty’s been working on, and cross fingers there’s some more studio-official releases on the way.
