Foo Fighters members Dave Grohl and Taylor Hawkins may have just debuted a new song from the band, after performing a never-before-heard track called ‘The Sky Is A Neighborhood’ at a charity concert.
On Monday night at the Acoustic 4 a Cure benefit show in San Francisco, Grohl and Hawkins debuted the new song with the help of their longtime collaborator Rami Jaffee.
“I figured on the way up here, I thought we would play a new song,” Grohl told the crowd. “We’ve never played this before to anybody.”
The performance, which you can watch in full below, sees Grohl singing emphatically over his acoustic guitar, with big refrains like, “The sky is a neighborhood, don’t make a sound.”
It’s still unclear if the song will feature on an upcoming project by Foo Fighters, but a new album from the group appears to be on the horizon.
What’s more, it looks like Foos could tour Australia later this year, after they recently announced a bunch of new shows in Asia.
Foo Fighters released their latest studio album, Sonic Highways, in 2014.
