Former Slipknot drummer Joey Jordison has treated his fans to an acoustic performance of a Slipknot song outside a hotel in Argentina.
Jordison surprised his fans by sitting down with an acoustic guitar and treating them to an impromptu performance of Slipknot’s ‘[sic]’.
“Impromptu jam session w/ a fan’s guitar outside my hotel w/ some of the greatest fans in the world,” he wrote on Instagram alongside a photo of fans surrounding him.
There has also been a video of the performance uploaded to YouTube by fans so those of us who weren’t in Argentina can check it out.
‘[sic]’ is from the band’s debut studio album which was released back in 1999, and while Jordison warned fans he could be pretty rusty, he did a pretty good job.
Jordison left the group in 2013 originally telling people that he, “couldn’t play anymore,” due to an illness he had been diagnosed with called transverse myelitis. He later said that Slipknot fired him because “they thought I was fucked up on drugs”.
The drummer was in Argentina with his new band VIMIC who plan to release their debut album Open Your Omen in early 2018.
