Watch Guns N’ Roses Join Forces With Angry Anderson To Bust Out A Rose Tattoo Classic Live In Sydney

Guns N’ Roses have fkn outdone themselves at the second Sydney stop on their Not In This Lifetime (sort of) reunion tour last night.

Not only did they equal Friday’s monster show at ANZ stadium by once again wheeling out AC/DC’s Angus Young for two red hot Acca Dacca covers, they also one-upped the previous night’s effort by inviting another old m8 — namely Angry Anderson from Rose Tattoo — out onto the stage for a ball-busting rendition of his band’s classic Nice Boys.

GNR originally recorded the tune for their 1986 Live ?!*@ Like a Suicide EP (Rose Tattoo were one of their biggest musical influences when they were coming up through the LA scene, FYI) and according to Setlist.fm, it marks the first time that the band have cracked it out on this entire tour, and the first time that the Axl/Slash/Duff incarnation of GNR have performed it live together since 1993, so this is kind of a big deal.

And that’s not all. Fans in Sydney last night also got a big surprise early on during Wolfmother’s support set, when Slash emerged prematurely to perform his 2010 solo single with frontman Andrew Stockdale, By The Sword.

Taking to twitter this morning, the top-hatted Les Paul warrior said: “Hey Sydney, thanks for 2 fn awesome nights! Amazing crowd tonight too! Thanks to Angus & Angry for joining us. See you again soon! iiii]; )’”

Catch footage of all of last night’s cameo performances below.

PS Not to blow our own whistles (Paradise City styles) but we totally predicted that all of this would happen *tries not to look smug*
