Having already helped the likes of NOFX, media coach Janessa Slater — who employs the body of Saturday Night Live cast member Vanessa Bayer as her surrogate — has now focused her very particular set of skills on Haim. Slater improves the trio’s lyrics and sorts out Este‘s bass face.
Unfortunately, one of the sisterly pop-rock trio — guitarist Danielle Haim — was “sick” and couldn’t make it to take on Slater’s wisdom, but it gave the girls a fantastic opportunity to gossip behind her back. This was after they determined that the name Haim means “she who parts hair in the middle.”
Hopefully the band can now apply Slater’s Sound Advice to their new album, which Alana Haim recently revealed is on it’s way. “We’re going home in a month to start recording. I promise record two won’t come in six years – it’ll come very soon,” Alana told BBC 6 Music at Glastonbury 2014.
