Canberra rockers Hands Like Houses have taken to the triple j studios to lay down a super-smooth cover of the No Doubt classic Don’t Speak for the weekly covers segment Like A Version
Hands Like Houses’ Don’t Speak cover sees the band knock out an acoustic version of the track, complete with a Santana-esque guitar solo and some passionate vocals from frontman Trenton Woodley. Following their cover, the band say that while the song “sounds really simple” at first, it’s actually pretty difficult to perform.
While in the triple j studios, Hands Like Houses also performed a stripped-back version of their original song New Romantics, which features on their latest album Dissonants. Catch both performances in full, below.
Hands Like Houses have also just announced a run of national tour dates. Head here for details.
