Melbourne multi-instrumentalist Harts, brought his one-man music-making talents to triple j this morning to perform and blistering bluesy cover of the recent Daniel Johns solo hit Aerial Love for Like A Version.
Harts took the sultry, r’n’b inspired number and turned up the blues factor, unleashing his virtuosic guitar skills – those given the nod of approval by Prince himself – to add some serious fuzz and deliver a blistering solo cover.
While in the studio, Harts also performed his own tune Red & Blue, taken from his debut album, Daydreamer. The Melbourne muso also had some good news for fans, announcing both the arrival of a new EP and an extensive national tour.
Titled Breakthrough, like his latest single, the new EP will be released on Friday, 5th June and will also feature last year’s single When A Man’s A Fool as well as three new tracks. After that he’ll be embarking on a huge national tour, traversing both capital cities and regional centres this June and July.
