The Voice is pulling out all the stops this season. First it was ex Australian Idol finalist and ‘Wasabi’ tunesmith Lee Harding shaking things up, and now, ex Hi-5 OG Nathan Foley has stepped up as a contestant.
The kids’ entertainer auditioned on Sunday night, singing and playing guitar to Kenny Loggins’ classic ‘Footloose’ and impressing judges Delta Goodrem and Boy George.
“It took up ten years of my life,” the now 39-year-old shared about his Hi-5 years before taking the stage on The Voice.
“The majority of people looked at me and they thought, ‘Kids entertainer.’ They saw me as the Hi-5 guy, which is amazing, but I always thought there was something more I could offer.”
The episode smashed the ratings for the evening, with 1,010,000 viewers tuning in to watch Foley’s audition.
