Kesha has performed at the Billboard Music Awards overnight, following a week-long tug-of-war over whether she would even be allowed to take to the stage.
After she was announced as one of a number of artists to perform at the BBMA’s, Dr Luke blocked the performance supposedly after reports indicated that Kesha may use the gig as a platform to bring her ongoing legal battle further under the spotlight.
Then, after backlash and assurances that Kesha would’t make any references to Dr Luke or the legal proceedings his record label performed a backflip and reinstated her permission to perform.
The singer took to the stage to perform an emotional cover of Bob Dylan’s It Ain’t Me, Babe alongside Ben Folds.
