The Killers have taken the stage at the MCG to lube up the crowd for today’s AFL grand finals action and — living up to their name — they killed it.
Performing in front of hundreds of thousands of footy fans across the nation and surrounded by symbols proudly declaring support for equal love and marriage equality, Brandon Flowers & co. busted out a fistful of their hits including funky-fresh new single ‘The Man’, classics ‘Somebody Told Me’, ‘Read My Mind’ and ‘Mr. Brightside’ and even chucked in a cheeky cover of Midnight Oil’s ‘Forgotten Years’ for good measure.
Needless to say, if the MCG had a roof, they would have blown it off. Fans are fkn FROTHING on this performance:

Meanwhile, although The Killers are already set to return to our shores in 2018 for their biggest Australian tour to date, it hasn’t stopped them from getting their live fix down under this time around.
On top of their performance at today’s big decider, the Las Vegas rockers also surprised fans with a secret show in Melbourne last night, and are set to play YET ANOTHER Melbourne show this evening — a FREE set at the MCG for fans as part of the Virgin Australia Premiership Party from 6pm.
If you’re in the Victorian capital you can get along to that, otherwise catch footage of The Killers’ big AFL grand final pre-game performance below.
Meanwhile, stay tuned for Macklemore‘s crazy-hyped pre-game performance at tomorrow’s NRL grand final, where he’s controversially set to perform his marriage equality anthem ‘Same Love’, much to the ire of ‘No’ campaigners.
