Watch Korn Debut New Song ‘Rotting In Vain’ Live In Chicago

Nu-metal masters Korn have blessed the crowd at Chicago’s Open Air Festival with the live debut of a new song titled Rotting In Vain, with footage of the track’s premiere now available online.

Korn performed at Open Air on Saturday, 16th July, and fan-filmed footage from the band’s set (below) sees frontman Jonathan Davis pump up the crowd by telling them they’re about to witness a new song being played live for the first time.

Once the band launch into Rotting In Vain, it’s clear that their newest tunes will be as heavy as ever, with some belly-aching growls from Davis and some huge guitar riffs lining the new track. Watch the song get its debut, below.

A studio version of Rotting In Vain is set to be released on 22nd July, with Korn’s Reginald ‘Fieldy’ Arvizu letting his son confirm the date via Instagram.

Rotting In Vain is said to be a taste of Korn’s upcoming 12th album, which will feature a guest spot from Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor. The album is expected to be released later this year.

Aside from Korn, this year’s Open Air Festival lineup also features the likes of Slipknot, Disturbed, Rammstein, Five Finger Death Punch and Marilyn Manson.
