Machine Head recently invited a lucky 13-year-old fan on stage to play on their song Aesthetics of Hate from The Blackening. The boy, named Anthony Potenza, attended their show at the Town Ballroom in Buffalo, New York in the US, holding up a sign saying “Let This 13-Year-Old Play ‘Aesthetics of Hate’ With You”. The band took him up on the offer.
Potenza, who has been teaching himself to play guitar for two-and-half years, spoke about the experience on his Facebook page, saying “It was so fun just looking up and seeing only people like it never ended… it was amazing.” He added that, “[The band] hung out with me after the show; they were all so nice. I can’t wait for them to come back.”
Machine Head will be appearing on the Soundwave 2012 line-up at the end of this month.
