Arctic Monkeys’ drummer Matt Helders joined 11 year-old wunderkind Nandi Bushell for an IRL jam session that saw the pair cover three Arctic Monkeys hits, including ‘I Bet You Look Good On The Dancefloor’.
They also took on ‘Brianstorm’ and ‘R U Mine’, however those two sessions have not been shared yet.
In a post shared to Instagram, Bushell said that Helders came to her place for “a cup of Tea and a Jam with me.”
“We had the best time! We jammed loads of songs together and had a lot of fun improvising drum beats.”
“Thank you so so so much Matt for jamming with me and letting me interview you. You are welcome back to my house for a jam again any time,” she said on the platform.
The four-part series will feature the three covers, as well as an interview Bushell conducted with Helders, AND the aforementioned improvisational jam.
She also thanked her guitar teacher Tom McCarthy who added live backing guitar off camera.
The collaboration follow’s Bushell’s solo cover of Brianstorm last year.
