Santigold has just released a new song titled Disparte Youth, which you can watch below.
The track, the second to be taken from her forthcoming album Master of My Make-Believe, follows the unveiling of the track Big Mouth, which featured production by Switch and Bureka Son Sistema. Disco Naivete reports that Disparate Youth will be released on a five-track EP to be released on April 8, the EP also featuring remixes from Switch and 2 Bears, with a digital US version to be sold on iTunes next week.
Speaking to V Magazine Santigold has said she’s been working with Greg Kurstin, Dave Sitek and Nick Zinner of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs on the record, saying of the album title that it “is called Master of My Make-Believe because I want it to be about creating your own reality.”
Her first album was under the name Santigold, having called herself Santogold during the promotion of her debut album, which came out in 2008. Local fans are eager to hear more from her, following on from her performances as part of last year’s Parklife Festival.
