Nicolas Cage is having a bit of a rough trot at the moment, and he’s taking to the beauty of music as his release. Specifically, he’s scream-singing Prince‘s ‘Purple Rain’ at an LA karaoke bar.
In case you haven’t been paying attention to Cage’s whirlwind love life because you have better things to do, he’s not having the best time. Last month he got sloshed and ended up marrying a woman named Erika Koike, only to file for divorce four days later. And now, TMZ have spotted the actor giving his best Prince rendition.
Interestingly, this was reported on Sunday which was the day that marked the three year anniversary of Prince’s death.
In other Prince news, earlier this week it was announced that his memoir, The Beautiful Ones, would be released this October.
“It’s a treasure not just for Prince fans but for anyone who wants to see one of our greatest creative artists and original minds at work on his greatest creation: himself,” said the memoir’s editor, Chris Jackson.
