With Jamie xx‘s debut solo album In Colour released only last month, Melbourne RnB/pop maestro Oscar Key Sung has wasted no time in covering stand-out album cut Loud Places for triple j‘s weekly covers segment, Like A Version.
Oscar Key Sung’s rendition of Loud Places (below) saw the muso team a drum machine with some gentle synth work, and, of course, his killer vocals. Joined by a choir of backing singers, the sparse cover was a laid back affair in keeping with the joyful vibes of Jamie xx’s new full-length effort.
While in the triple j studios, Oscar Key Sung also performed his original track Skip, which features on his latest EP, Altruism. Catch footage of both performances, below, and for Oscar Key Sung’s current tour dates, visit his Facebook page.
