Paul Dempsey has shared the latest cover from his Something For Victoria series. This time, he’s enlisted The Living End’s Chris Cheney to join him in covering Elton John.
They took turns playing their acoustic guitars and singing verses of Elton John’s ‘I’m Still Standing’.
The Something For Kate frontman has been delivering the goods through these sessions FYI. Last week we got another Elton John cover, this time ‘Candy’ performed by Paul Dempsey and The Jezabels’ Hayley Mary.
“Hang in there Melbourne,” says Dempsey tying off the performance. While, Cheney quotes Arnold Schwarzenegger, “You can do it.”
Catch the performance down below.
Prior to the amazing Elton John covers, Dempsey had been joined by Bernard Fanning to cover Queen’s ‘Under Pressure’.
Something For Kate have broken their eight year quiet time this year with ‘Situation Room’ and ‘Waste Our Breath’, taken from their forthcoming album The Modern Medieval.
The Modern Medieval is set for release Friday, 20th November.
