For the second time this week, the hottest bit of rock royalty going around – Sir Paul McCartney and the surviving members of Nirvana – have performed live together.
McCartney, Dave Grohl, Pat Smear and Krist Novaselic performed their collaboration track Cut Me Some Slack on American TV institution Saturday Night Live, where he was the special guest for the night.
The SNL spot followed on from the world première of the track at the 12.12.12 fundraiser in New York on Wednesday.
Later in the show, McCartney also joined forces with The Eagles’ Joe Walsh, who helped him out on a rendition of McCartney’s solo track My Valentine.
The studio version of Cut Me Some Slack is now available for download from iTunes, and will also appear on the soundtrack to Grohl’s documentary Sound City, which will have its première in February. Check out all the details on the soundtrack here.
