The Friday pick me up we all need is right here. Paul Mescal gets absolutely lit in the new Rolling Stones video for ‘Scarlet’.
The clip begins with Normal People star, Paul Mescal speaking to the camera, “I’m a little bit drunk. I’m very sorry. I love you. So I’m just gonna play the song.”
Then begins Mescal carrying the camera around with him for a first-person viewing of his drunken escapades… which is mostly just him dancing around. Of course, there’s also some arguing with a stick figure drawn on a mirror, sliding down the stairs handrail, and drinking and crying thrown into the mix.

The previously unheard single, ‘Scarlet’ features Jimmy Page and Rick Grech. The Stones released it on Wednesday, 22nd July. The single will be included on The Rolling Stones’ re-release of their 1973 album Goats Head Soup along with ‘All The Rage’ and ‘Criss Cross’ — another two previously unheard singles.
The Mescal-starring ‘Scarlet’ video was captured with a socially distanced video shoot at London’s iconic Claridge’s hotel.
The new Goats Head Soup will arrive Friday, 4th September. You can pre-order it here.
