An emotional Eddie Vedder has paid tribute to his fallen grunge brother, Chris Cornell during Pearl Jam‘s first live performance in almost two years.
Taking to the stage at Chile’s Movistar Arena, the band busted out an epic 30-song set, including a heartfelt performance of ‘Come Back’ from their 2006 self-titled album.
“This is for Chris,” frontman Eddie Vedder told the crowd of thousands, before launching into the musical tribute to his longtime friend and Temple Of The Dog bandmate, who passed away under tragic circumstances last year.
Pearl Jam’s return to the live arena comes after they surprise-dropped their first new song in five years ‘Can’t Deny Me’.
