Peking Duk, AKA producers Adam Hyde and Reuben Styles, have sent a crystal clear message to the man advocating for Sydney’s lockout laws, New South Wales Premier Mike Baird.
Like fellow artists Flume, Wu-Tang Clan, Nina Las Vegas, Isabella Manfredi and Adam Martin (to name a few), the Peking Duk boys are clearly not fans of Baird’s music-killing, casino-supporting schemes.
At their recent show in Sydney, part of the Australiana tour, the DJs worked the Enmore Theatre’s 1,600-strong crowd up into a controlled but frenzied chant of “Fuck Mike Baird” to vent their feelings about the controversial lockout laws, which threaten Sydney’s cultural vibrancy.
It’s not the first time the Canberra producers have spoken up against the laws. They took to Facebook last month to urge music fans to attend February’s Keep Sydney Open Rally, writing an impassioned post that was liked by nearly 600 people.
Watch the chanting unfold below.
