Watch Ruel & Jarryd James Cover Jeff Buckley’s ‘Lover, You Should’ve Come Over’ On The Set

Ruel and Jarryd James were up for this week’s instalment of ABC’s The Set and it’s a brilliant episode. This weekend saw the pair of guests link up for a Jeff Buckley cover.

The duo took on Buckley’s 1994 hit ‘Lover, You Should’ve Come Over’. It’s a condensed version of the 6-minute 44-second track but the emotion and feels remain the same.

It’s a stunning take on the original. Also, Jarryd James belting out a Jeff Buckley song while nursing a can of Furphy is a total vibe.

Elsewhere in the episode Ruel delivers a couple of stunning performances. The first sees him and his band meld his 2019 Hottest 100 #22 ‘Painkiller’ with 2018 single ‘Younger’.

Ruel shares a rendition of his latest single too. ‘Too Many Feelings’ sees Ruel make The Set’s set home and get cosy inside the pillow fort for the soulful track.

Last week’s episode of The Set saw a magical collab from Paul Kelly, Ziggy Ramo, and Eves Karydas. They covered Rihanna’s ‘Never Ending’.

Earlier this year Jarryd James wrote about his adoration for J. Cole’s Born Sinner as part of our Love Letter To A Record series.
