Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor appears to be approaching his ‘cranky old man’ stage with gusto. At a recent headline performance, Taylor apparently took slight with a particular ticket-holder, having him personally ejected in the latest deeply personal and super-cringe attack from the vocalist.
The whole kerfuffle was caught on film, with Taylor somehow managing to spot a rogue member of the audience in amongst the sea of flailing limbs and shoes in California on Saturday, 13th August. Without a second of hesitation, Taylor points at the dude from on stage, ordering security to “Get him the fuck out!”
The footage (below) adds up, with eye-witness accounts of the bro-down detailing a belligerent fan giving security a hefty amount of grief. One fan added that security had to wrestle the guy out of the crowd. One Redditor added:
“I was there! All I heard was, ‘That motherfucker with the glasses. Get him the fuck out of here.’ This is my fourth show and I’ve never seen that.”
So there ya have it.
Taylor is on a bit of a war path at the moment, appearing more and more in grainy, shakey footage doing things like whacking phones out of people’s hands or ejecting troublemakers individually. But before we call him crazy, it’s important to look at everything going on around him — after all, homeboy did come all that way to perform for you with a neck injury and you’re looking at your phone?
After their upcoming run of Australian tour dates, Taylor’s going to need a solid shower, a nice warm cuppa and a month-long nap.
Watch Taylor eject another Slipknot fan in the video below, from the 3:00 mark.
